Traditionally, caramelized onions need to cook slowly to achieve the deep sweetness they are known for. Adding a little Prune Juice Concentrate to the pan speeds up the process, cutting the cooking time in half.

10 ml / 2 teaspoons onions olive oil
230 g / 3 cups yellow onion, thinly sliced
5 ml / 1 teaspoon Prune Juice Concentrate
Pinch of salt
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring often, until the onions soften, about 5 minutes. Add the concentrate and continue to cook until the onions are completely soft and dark brown, 2 to 3 minutes more.
